The project involved the restoration of a property from the 1940s, preserving the original structure while implementing modifications to enhance natural light and create a layout that accommodates wheelchair use. For the façade modification, non-original elements were removed, and a simpler volume was introduced, featuring artisan stone details from the region. This technique, known as “Mayan star,” is commonly found in typical constructions throughout the area. The studio incorporated these details to honor and elevate this craftsmanship.
