Chembech House

Casa Chembech is a restored property located in the heart of the neighborhood of the same name, preserving the essence of the architecture found in the historic center of Mérida. The restoration of the first floor maintains elements such as the symmetrical and simple proportions characteristic of old houses. The façade was constructed with a stone wall designed to contrast with the interior gem and the adjoining houses. Most of the rooms feature light tones, complemented by regional stones and Mayan green pigments, creating a warm ambiance indoors. The flooring combines white cement with mosaic mats at the center, which become prominent focal points when viewed from above. In the second bay, a staircase leads to the main room, which overlooks the expansive patio that retains its vegetation, offering a spaciousness that can be enjoyed at any time of the day. At the back, the dining room harmonizes with floor-to ceiling windows, showcasing the patio and pool.
