Casita Canzul

Casita Canzul is an old property in the center of the city of Mérida. Although it is a small property, it
houses a broad architectural program, with its main use focused on Airbnb rentals. This focus allowed
us to explore different volumes that diverge from the traditional schemes of the area.
The first bay houses a double-height living room, preserving the typical layout of traditional Yucatecan
houses. While touring the space, we find an open-plan kitchen that features a floor-to-ceiling window,
generating a connection with the outdoor area.
On the second floor is the main bedroom, distributed in a central scheme and covered with a barrel-vaulted ceiling, which further emphasizes the visual finish.
